Keep Calm Craft On: Acorn Hat and Wildflower Dye

Joining Nicole at Frontier Dreams for Keep Calm Craft On…

This week I knit Sacha a new acorn hat for fall. It's a little on the big side, but he seems to like wearing it and is super cosy made with bulky O-Wool.

The wildflowers are really beautiful this time of year, I love all of the gold and purple in the woods and fields around us. The girls and I dyed some of our yarn (from our sheep) with tansy and goldenrod. I love how it came out, a nice soft yellow.

Happy crafting on!

    1. I agree. I love this colour but it's not one that I would wear. It would be nice on a little one.

  5. Love that chunky hat pattern. And the yarn is beautiful. It is fantastic to have yarn from your own sheep and then dyed with flowers that you harvested - your kids are growing up in a wonderful environment.
