Lately - Dernièrement

lots of walks in the woods

and on the beach

We were sorting through our fall woollens the other day and the kids (youngest) couldn't wait to try them on again. They bundled themselves up to go to the beach, though it was totally unnecessary!

It's wild lingonberry time! I made lots of jam over the weekend. There is nothing like freshly baked bread with (still warm) lingonberry jam! Heaven!

October

my little pumpkins

pumpkins and felted acorns made by the girls, instructions found in an old issue of Living Crafts

It's my favourite time of the year. The colours, the crisp air, the woollens, apples and pumpkin everything and lots of crafting with treasures found in nature. The kiddos (including Sacha) have been making some lovely transparency collages using leaves as well as fall lanterns (leaves glued with mod podge on glass). The girls have been creating wool gnomes, strange mushrooms and trolls and collecting unusual pumpkins and squash to decorate the house for Halloween. I started canning applesauce and most of our baking involves apples or pumpkins these days (yum!).

Happy fall friends!
