We are a Waldorf-inspired homeschooling family living in the beautiful windswept Magdalen Islands. This is a record of the beauty and joy that fill our days. Thank you for visiting!
Fantastic knitting. That wool is beautiful. Are you able to buy yarn locally or do you have to mail order? Here it is surprisingly difficult to get crafting supplies - yarns etc (but very easy to get diamond incrusted Channel skis!!) are you able to 'shop' easily? I'm not being nosey - just so intrigued by life on your island!!
Hello Emma, no, we do not have many shops here. Just the basics (grocery, pharmacy, hardware, etc.). I do most of my shopping online or when we visit the continent about once every season (3-4 times a year). This particular yarn was purchased at one of my favourite yarn shops in Montreal (La Maison Tricotée for the MO) and at the SQUAM art fair (for the scarf in Woolen Rabbit).
Sarah, I love them both- the scarf especially, and I have been wanting to make myself a scarf. This one would be perfect! And so nice to see you too, lovely mama!
I love your scarf, it's gorgeous! Your hat and cowl set looks like it will be lovely and cosy :)
ReplyDeleteI'm always impressed by people able to knit lace! Nice work :)

DeleteBeautiful! Love the scarf and the cowl and hat look so chunky and warm, which is definitely needed with the weather this winter. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for your kind comments.
