This week I knit Sacha a new acorn hat for fall. It's a little on the big side, but he seems to like wearing it and is super cosy made with bulky O-Wool.
The wildflowers are really beautiful this time of year, I love all of the gold and purple in the woods and fields around us. The girls and I dyed some of our yarn (from our sheep) with tansy and goldenrod. I love how it came out, a nice soft yellow.
Happy crafting on!
wow, i love the yarn, such a great color.
ReplyDeleteWow your photos are beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and I love the colour of your yarn. It is not a colour I could ever wear but I do love it.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I love this colour but it's not one that I would wear. It would be nice on a little one.
DeleteLove the color of your yarn and I love that the yarn is from your sheep!! Beautiful photos and wool!
ReplyDeleteThanks Laura!
DeleteLove that chunky hat pattern. And the yarn is beautiful. It is fantastic to have yarn from your own sheep and then dyed with flowers that you harvested - your kids are growing up in a wonderful environment.
ReplyDeletethank you Katie!
Deleteyour own wool, hand dyed with hand picked flowers - what a fantastic adventure. It's a beautiful color, do you have any plans for it yet?
