Shamrock Painting - Peinture de trèfle

This is a shamrock painting done by Loane. We started with a dot of yellow in the middle of the page. We made the yellow dot grow bigger and spread out over the page (leaving a white frame around the page), just like the sun in spring, warming the earth, making the days grow longer and brighter, chasing the dark cold of winter away (blue). We then painted the edges of the paper (white frame) with blue. When the warm yellow sun meets the cold earth and warms it (the blue paint and yellow paint meet at the bottom and middle of the page, brush strokes up and down in a straight line) green roots and a shoot begin to grow (green stem). From this stem three leaves grow (we painted three circles from the green stem). A shamrock!

Voici une peinture de trèfle (trèfle irlandais ou shamrock) réalisée par Loane. Nous avons commencé par peindre un point jaune au centre de la feuille. Nous avons ensuite fait grossir ce point pour étendre la peinture jaune sur une grande surface de la feuille (laissant un contour blanc), comme le soleil au printemps qui illumine et réchauffe la terre, prolonge la clarté en chassant les nuits longues et le froid de l'hiver (bleu). Nous avons peint le contour de la feuille (contour blanc restant) avec du bleu. Lorsque la chaleur du soleil dégèle la terre (le jaune et le bleu se rencontrent au bas et au milieu de la feuille, en promenant le pinceau de bas en haut et de haut en bas), des racines et une tige poussent. De cette tige, trois feuilles poussent (nous avons fait trois cercles avec notre pinceau). Et voilà, un trèfle!
