Knitting and Reading

Joining Ginny at Small Things for Yarn Along…

I'm currently working on my second (love this pattern!) Pretty Basic shawl and just finished reading Remarkable Creatures, a fascinating story that I very highly recommend.

Another book that I finished reading not long ago is The Last Midwife by Sandra Dallas. I thought I should mention it here as well, since I would also highly recommend it, I just couldn't put it down (as is the case with many Sandra Dallas books!).

Goats - Chèvres

I'm back! I had not planned to be away from this space for so long, however, after such a long break I'm glad to be back here to continue to share little bits of our days (I was missing coming here!). If any of you dear reader friends are still around, please leave me a little comment so I know who's (if anyone is) still visiting me here… Thanks!

As you can see in the pictures above, we have some adorable new little goats living in our field. They are in fact our neighbours goats and they (our neighbours) did an amazing job building the shelter (goat house) and structure to climb on (using recycled lobster cages). We are fully enjoying having these very playful and affectionate little creatures in our pasture (that has been left empty for some time now, since the last of our sheep past away). Three year old S is especially loving having these new climbing and jumping partners!
