An eight hour ferry crossing (still ice to get through!!!) to Prince Edward Island for a quiet weekend without the children. Lots of yarn, books, tea and pretty places.

Peronnik is a story from Brittany that Loane and I have just finished reading. A great story for second grade (Celtic stories).

I'm very happy with this shawl (more like a shawlette or scarf, I would like to knit another, bigger one). The pattern is lovely, very nice to knit, requiring little concentration, perfect for knitting with kiddos around.
